This has become one of my favorite tools, elevating almost any project I take on. It's user-friendly and comes with a good supply of rivet nuts. I've used it for various tasks, from fixing a snowblower chute hand crank to a food cart at work. It's even going to help with adding attachments to my kayak. While I use regular riveters too, this tool has more utility than a basic rivet gun.
This tool is incredibly handy – I can't believe I've gone this long without it! It's a lifesaver in situations where the threads are stripped or when you can't use a lock nut or solder. In terms of build quality, it's decent. While it's not the sturdiest, it's comparable to others on the market. I think it'll hold up just fine for hobbyist use!
After getting a new bus for my company, I needed to move my work cabinet into it. For this, I bought rivet nut pliers. When I opened them, I noticed the M8 attachment was already in place, leaving the corresponding box empty.
First, I measured and drilled the hole, then fully opened the pliers. I screwed the M8 rivet nut onto the pliers until it was almost flush with the pliers' nut. I pushed the nut into the hole until it couldn't go any further. It's important to ensure the pliers reach the metal surface, so if there's any wall protection like in my case, enlarge the hole in the protection first to allow the nut to be close enough to the metal for a secure hold.
Next, I pressed the handles together. It's crucial to keep the pliers as straight as possible to avoid incorrect tension on the connector, which could cause breakage. You don't need to bend the handles too much, though.
Then, I unscrewed the pliers counterclockwise by turning the large screw cap between the handles.
Finally, I screwed the bolt into the hole. Tightening it pulls the nut tighter into the metal, ensuring a secure fit.
I managed to secure my cabinet very firmly. If you're unsure how to do it, there are helpful explanatory videos on YouTube.
Without this tool, my husband couldn't have installed the OEM running boards on my 2020 Toyota Highlander. It worked perfectly.
This was my first time using a rivet nut tool and I'm really pleased with how it turned out.
This is a quality product that's easy to use. Check that it includes all the mandrels you need. I started using it immediately upon arrival for a professional-looking installation on my 1977 Corvette.
Sets nutserts perfectly.
I used this rivnut tool to install a pair of jack nuts, and it worked flawlessly. The jacknuts are great for areas with clearance issues, while these rivnuts have a longer protrusion. The tool makes installation easy.
It worked great, and I love it.
The tool created a solid rivnut fastener for me. It seems sturdy, but the instructions were lacking.
Whenever you need a blind-nut, this tool is the way to go. Highly recommended for anyone involved in fabricating.
It works great, but the rivets aren't long enough for certain kits, like the deals mud flap jack nuts. I had to use the nuts it came with. It would be better if it had a case to keep things organized in my toolbox.
It did what I needed, helping me install rivet nuts in my truck bed for direct bolting of racking. I'm considering using it for a topper as well. Just be careful not to over squeeze and practice on other sheets first.
It's cheap and you get what you pay for. It works for basic tasks, but I wouldn't use it regularly.
This tool was perfect for adding threaded inserts in a steel enclosure. Worked beautifully once I got the hang of it.
Needed this for a car project. Did the job perfectly and now I'm thinking of more uses for it.
Bought this tool for a small project and was surprised by its simple yet effective build. The instructions weren't great, but the tool is easy to understand and use. I'm keeping it for future use.
Meets my expectations. Easy to use and comes as a complete set.
I decided to purchase this tool instead of shelling out $400 for an air-operated or hydraulic model, as I only needed it to install four nuts on my trailer for a battery box. Initially, the instructions were quite poor, but after closely examining the tool, I got a good grasp of how to use it. Surprisingly, installing rivet nuts turned out to be really easy. The tool's build quality impressed me – it's simple, yet solidly constructed for the price. I had planned to sell it after use, but it's so good that I've decided to keep it. Even my neighbor is interested in borrowing it for his truck rack. I'd definitely recommend this tool to anyone who needs to install rivet nuts.
I've done about 100 M6 and M8 rivets so far, and the tool is working flawlessly. Just be careful not to overtighten the rivnuts. The included rivnuts aren't very durable, so I switched to stainless steel ones.
At first, I was doubtful about this tool because I saw some reviews and YouTube videos mentioning mandrels breaking. However, I learned that with proper handling, it works perfectly. I used it on my 2023 RAM 1500 to install bed rails, and it made the job straightforward. Just a bit of pressure to push the rivets through pre-cut holes, squeeze the handles, unscrew the insert, and voila – the bed rail mounts were ready. A few tips: use the right size mandrel, ensure it's fully inserted and tightened, and secure the top cover properly. When attaching the compression rivet, open the handles fully to screw the rivet on properly. Following these steps made the process smooth. I even added some thread locker for extra security, confident enough that I could hang a hammock from them. I highly recommend this tool for such tasks and plan to use it for other projects, like mounting a train horn under my hood.
It's not what I expected.
Everything is as described. The riveter is comfortable to use, and rivets hold firmly in the professional sheet, just as I needed.
Well-made and everything works as it should.
One nozzle was already installed, so don't worry if one container is empty. The tool looks good and seems like it will last with careful use. I tried riveting a steel M8 rivet, and the effort required was moderate.
An M8 rivet is already installed. It's a high-quality tool, I recommend it. I'm very pleased.
The quality is excellent, it feels reliable in your hands!
The Riveter is strong and presses rivets confidently.
The product is exactly as described, high quality. The instructions could be better though.
First impressions are amazing. I've wanted to buy this for a long time.
Exactly as described.
It functions smoothly without any issues.
The product exceeded my expectations magnificently! It arrived with all the pieces included, providing a hassle-free experience.
This tool is both high-quality and reasonably priced. It efficiently set the rivet nuts exactly where I needed them.
I've only used it for M5 so far. It works perfectly and is easy to use.
I wouldn't recommend it for daily professional use in a shop, but for occasional tasks like installing a few nutserts, it did the job well. For the price, I have no complaints.
I used this tool for installing OEM rivnut/nutsert on a 2011 Silverado tailgate spoiler. It worked just as I expected and did a great job.
This has been a great investment. The results are amazing, and it's very user-friendly. It was indispensable for the work on my old truck.
This tool is awesome! Super easy to use and will be handy for many of my projects. It was perfect for setting up my new Cargo van with threaded inserts for hanging tools and shelves.
Really impressed with this tool. It's worked great so far, used about 80 rivnuts and it's still going strong.
This rivet tool is solidly built and as effective as pricier models from brands like Astro or DeWalt, but at a much better price. Don't waste money on the more expensive options.
Compact yet powerful riveter. Works smoothly!
I'm really happy with the quality. So far, I've only used the M8 attachment without any issues. Next time, I'll check if there's a set that includes regular pop rivet attachments.
The item matches the description perfectly.
I needed it for just four rivet nuts, and it was priced just right for such a small job. It worked perfectly, and now it'll probably sit on my shelf for the next few years until I need it again. But that's okay.
It's a very nice tool. I've only used it once, but it did exactly what I needed, clamping down the rivnut securely.
Cool gadget, well-made and high-quality.
Affordable and good quality tool, I recommend it.
It's a great tool and it comes with the hard-to-find rivet nuts.
The tool is easy to use and made my job much simpler. Handled the tasks well.
Good craftsmanship with different sizes available. Great for occasional, non-professional use!
A good tool for the price, it does what it's supposed to.
The tool worked well, though it feels a bit flimsy and weak. However, it successfully did what it was supposed to.
Very practical and of good quality.
I've used this tool to install over 300 steel RivNuts and haven't had a single issue. It's sturdy and easy to use.
The only issue I've encountered is that the handles are a bit long, making it difficult to reach some tight spaces. I had to resort to a manual method using a ratcheting wrench at times.
It's a sturdy and reliable product. Came with a variety of rivets and adapters, and everything works well. I would definitely recommend it to others.
Item is as described, the rivet nut tool seems sturdy enough.
It worked perfectly for installing the fender flares on my Jeep TJ.
I tested it, and everything works as it should.
I've only used it twice so far, but it seems to do a good job.
Performs its functions well.
This tool works excellently with both steel and aluminum rivets. However, a word of caution: you need to be careful when using it. The first time I used it, the Arbor broke off instantly. Any slight misalignment or uneven surface can cause the Arbor to snap due to its hard yet brittle tempered steel construction. Although this tool is far superior to the typical one-handed rivet gun, it requires careful handling. I've broken two one-handed guns with steel rivets before; they just can't handle the force needed for steel rivets.
I used the power tool twice a day ago, and although I had to refer to the manual because it briefly malfunctioned, I found the manual to be quite useful. Overall, the tool works well.
The tool was functioning well until the nosepiece of the mandrel broke off inside a rivet while working on my RV conversion. This was the 8th rivet out of about 80. Without any spare mandrels or nosepieces included, it felt like a waste of money since I only needed the size that broke.
Works flawlessly and includes numerous attachments for different sizes of both standard and metric rivets. The price and quality are unbeatable.
I used it to replace plastic rivets with a metal kit for my Tacoma's tailgate and to reposition the hi-lift in the back of my truck.
Quality looks good, but I haven't tried it out yet.
This set is fantastic! The tool is well-built and having extra nutserts was incredibly helpful. I purchased it for installing fenders on my jeep.
The product and its functionality are top-notch after checking.
The set matches the description, passed the test and everything works.
The press is heavy and made of metal. I think everything is okay.
It requires a lot of strength to pull the lever together. I found it easier to insert the thread partially and pull it incrementally, threading it in deeper each time. If you thread the rivet in all the way, it's almost impossible to pull unless you're very strong.
Used this tool to fix a broken door hinge on a van. It saved time and money compared to a professional mechanic.
Wide range of sizes. The tool works, but adjusting it for each size takes some effort.
